Blanco Boulet Touts Experience and Honesty While Highlighting Guillory’s Criminal Investigations
LAFAYETTE, LA — Mayor-President candidate Monique Blanco Boulet (R-Lafayette) released a new ad campaign that focuses voter attention on the differences between incumbent Josh Guillory and Boulet. Guillory’s time in office has seen him plagued by embarrassing headlines and investigations over mismanagement, potential fraud, and abuse of taxpayer dollars.
“It’s no way to run a parish,” Boulet says in the ad. “It’s time to rewrite those headlines that embarrass us into ones that make us proud.”
In stark contrast with Guillory’s record of scandal-ridden contracts, problematic audits, and accusations of abuse in office, Boulet, who serves as CEO of the Acadiana Planning Commission (APC), touts her record of bringing investment to parish government across Acadiana, the development of a regional flood control strategy under her leadership, and effective leadership and public service. The ad features the "embarrassing" headlines generated by Guillory's time in office. “If we want Lafayette Parish to be as good as the people who call it home, we have to have the courage to stand up and fix what is broken," Blanco Boulet tells viewers.
Election Day is October 14th.
