Boulet launches fourth TV ad ahead of October election for Mayor-President
LAFAYETTE, LA — With Election Day less than a week away, Monique Blanco Boulet (R-Lafayette) released a new ad encouraging voters to stand up for the future of Lafayette they want to see.
"As mayor-president, I'll put an end to waste and corruption, protect our families from crime and homes from flooding, create economic opportunities so our children can build lives here, and do it all without new taxes. But I need your vote,” Boulet says in the ad. “Because if we want a Lafayette as good as the people who call it home, it's time we stand up and take our parish back. I'd be honored if you stood with me.”
This is Boulet's fourth spot of the campaign. The first ad showcased her experience bringing investments and transparency to government services that prevent crime, such as economic development, better-paying jobs, and public safety measures.
The second ad referenced her father, the late "Coach" Raymond Blanco's wisdom on potential, as well as Boulet's assessment that corruption, waste, and mismanagement by the current administration is holding Lafayette back from reaching its potential.
The third ad identified her children as her reason for running and highlighted her experience leading the Acadiana Planning Commission (APC), growing it from an agency in crisis to one of the most successful in the nation. Boulet will do the same for Lafayette as Mayor-President. Monique left her role as head of APC to focus on the race to replace scandal-ridden Guillory as Mayor-President.
The new television spot will air through targeted digital and on broadcast and cable.
Election Day is Oct. 14.
